Ilmburst Presents: Women of Jannah

Event Information

Women of Jannah

Suitable for 10 – 16 years (GIRLS ONLY)

Stamina in Worship

Struggle with the Taraweeh prayer? Start shifting weight from one leg to the other towards the end? Hope the du’a in Witr won’t be too long, and that the sujud will be shorter than it was yesterday? Maryam (as) spent her DAYS worshipping Allah swt without tiring. Where is our stamina today in acts of worship? Just one of the many lessons we will be exploring through the life of Maryam (as).

Choices

We face them every day. Asiyah (as) faced the ultimate choice, life or death? She remembered a higher purpose, and chose death and a house in Jannah near her Lord over the glitter of the world. The choices we face have similar ramifications. We are either choosing a path of obedience or disobedience, the path towards Allah swt or away from Allah swt, the path to Jannah or the path to Hellfire. This is reflected in every daily choice we make. Learn about the sacrifice of Asiyah and how we too can make choices that lead to the pleasure of Allah swt.

A detailed study of the lives of four women who were promised Jannah. The workshop will include:

  • A look at their stories
  • The qualities and characteristics they possessed
  • Some of the lessons we can draw out from their stories
  • How we can bring those lessons to life in our daily lives

Taught through engaging activities, lively discussions and a Kahoot quiz with a prize.
